Our virtual book club is a cornerstone of our fellowship initiative. We select engaging titles that spark conversation, foster personal growth, and strengthen the bonds among Black men. It's a powerful way to expand your perspective, connect with like-minded individuals, and cultivate a lifelong love for reading, all from the comfort of your home.
This program encourages reading, promotes intergenerational mentorship, and transforms everyday spaces into centers for learning and connection. It's about meeting our brothers where they are and fostering a culture of knowledge and growth. If you’re interested in having a mini-library placed at your barbershop or would like to donate any gently used books, please reach out to us via email or the contact us form. Stay turned as this Fall we will also be launching a virtual book club for brothers across the country.
Each month, we host a local meetup in Birmingham and quarterly in a different city (Brooklyn, NY or Atlanta GA or Ft. Lauderdale, FL to name a few). The goal of the meetups are to encourage brothers to not do life alone and find a community of like minded brothers in their city. Additionally, we support the economic development of our community and support local businesses by providing this monthly “cash mob” for businesses (primarily minority owned).
We are creating access, investing in dreams, and building bridges for the next generation of Black excellence. Stay turned for the scholarship application window.
This event in collaboration with several key community partners focuses on providing Black Men the space to learn and engage with civic leaders while identifying creative ways to become civically engaged in community. The goal of the event is for men to leave with the tools necessary to know the platforms in which candidates run on, become registered to vote, hear from local candidates running in elections, and gain additional knowledge on how to positively impact local civic opportunities (how to run for school board, apply for civic appointments like the library or parks & recreation board, and how to get involved).
in partnership with a local area school we are piloting this mentoring program for Male HS students to gain additional knowledges in the areas of confidence, conflict resolution, education, wellness, and success.
